Position: TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

Position Summary and Duties


To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Duties include:

 

  • As part of the teaching team, assist the teacher to present her classes by helping with the task setup 
  • Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing in nature and promotes learning
  • Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of work Evaluate, reflect on and refine their teaching practice
  • Be on duty with the holding class in the mornings from 07:30 -08:15 when students are collected
  • Arrive timeously for each lesson, be available for the full scheduled time; never leave classes unattended
  • Show loyalty to all aspects of Reddam House
  • Assist with the washing of all toys and equipment in the classroom and playground during holiday time
  • Refrain from divulging confidential information relating to the School or its students to any unauthorised person at any time.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with parents and students alike, and always be professional in one’s conduct
  • Assist with aftercare

Requirements of the role:

  • The successful candidate will be dynamic, caring, and enthusiastic
  • The ability to work as part of the Junior Preparatory team is a pre-requisite. 
  • The applicant will only be considered if the following criteria are met; Applicant must be studying towards an educational qualification with a registered institution, with interest in the relevant field you will be applying for, and have a Police Clearance Certificate not older than one year. Experience is not a pre-requisite for this position; however, the candidate must be able and willing to participate in the extramural program. The contract period is from May to December 2018.

The successful applicant will be required to fill this post as at 14 May 2018.

Position Summary

As part of our global standardisation initiative, we have re-organised our IT Operations department in South Africa to provide a professional and effective IT service. This strategy increases our competitive edge in the private schooling sector. Within the multinational group, our IT departments continually transfer best practice knowledge between our various schools in the different countries.

The South African IT support staff will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services to all users both onsite and via remote connection. Service enquires will go through the Centralised Helpdesk. As part of the Inspired Group, this position will also have responsibility for Group IT Projects.

The South African IT Operations team will form a significant part of the Group as a central hub.

The Technical Support Engineers will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of an IT Support Service to selected Inspired Schools in the given regions: Reddam House and Reddford House.

We are looking for a competent Technical Support Engineer (Level 2 Support) who will be responsible for finding solutions to the more complex issues, which cannot be solved by the Level 1 Support. He/she will administer a variety of technical projects related to the setup, maintenance, and support of the School’s IT Systems. The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.
